Will probably go to the first matinee day I and my SO have off together. Right now trying to decide if I want to see it in a regular theater or in IMAX. Like the idea of seeing the movie with a handfull of fans in the movie. So if there are any inside jokes as it were, then a few people beside myself will get them. Best Movie memory was ST:TMP saw it first with a group of distributors and got to hear the overture and all-Like the old movies used to do. Saw again with friends a week later when it opened No Overture.

I'll go to the first non-midnight show I can get to without having to contort my life.

For a film like this, I enjoy a packed house. Plus, you know the die hards will be there for the first showings.

I generally don't like crowded theaters. People talking, cell phones (even just seeing the screens out of the corner of my eye) annoying kids just make me angry. People have no respect. I like to get lost in my movies, I don't like distractions.

Mamma Mia! Don't feel too bad, my husband got drug to Bride Wars recently. He was right. It was a chick flick!

I've never actually seen a Trek movie on opening day but this time will be different. I'm even hoping that the theater downtown will have a midnight showing because that's when I would go. If not, I'll go the the first matinee showing. I'm going to take the day off from work, that goes without saying.

Ideally, I would love to go see it with at least one other Trekkie because then I would be with someone who truly shares my excitement. There's a few guys in the IT department at work who I know love Star Trek so I might arrange something with them.
