Default Special ST Sneak Peek

Just saw a commercial:

Monday during Heroes, a special Star Trek sneak peak will be shown.

I have to say I owe you an apology.
When you said this was a good movie I didn't believe you.
We've yet to see it but but It really looks like a sucess as far as a recovery from 10 years of mediocrity.

The ship is still a cringe factor though.

Wow Saq, you've finally come around to our side...

Now, we have to work on changing your mind about the ship...

Well it's encouraging that they're willing to go in this direction with Trek. They didn't need to radically restructur it to make the move adding the time line thing as a reason and factor, They could have changed the motiff before and worked from the existing material. Trek doesn't have to stay the same motiff it CAN be an action genre and I for one have no problem with that, if it want's to be a triller, or suspense or simply stay adventure oriented.

What is important is that they attempt to change from the boredom they've created. Gene said something to the effect that others would carry on the flame in a different way. I don't think he meant other would change the concept only that the way the concept was delivered would likely change....and that's what I'm leaning toward on this film.

Star Trek has been stuck in the 80's when it comes to the movies, It's time to bring it forward. The ships have been moved forward, what they did with the ship was just ridiculous.....

ridiculous.....

What they did with the television series' Enterprise when they were planning ST:TMP is ridiculous. A refit didn't even explain the massive changes, but still we went along with it and we still love the movies.

This new Enterprise is a variation on a theme. It's not that horrific and it's easily identifiable as the Enterprise.

Crap... Thinking about opting out of Heroes for the night then, and watching it online the next day or at least switching channels during commercials. Trailer 3 was already pushing on "spoilerific". I don't think we need more revealed.

I can't remember the exact wording of the commercial but they were focusing on Zachary Quinto being a villain in Heroes and now Spock in the new movie. Maybe he will host the Sneak Peek.
