I don't know if that means it will be in the movie though maybe I missed it in the those links. Could you quote it?
They did the music for trailer 2 as well. I'm pretty sure paramount would use in the movie they have the rights to use the modified version.

I think they would be fools not to use the music in the movie...but I haven't found who's actually doing the Soundtrack...so I can't say.

I could be wrong. But I don't think he's going to use someone else's music in his sound track. He's an academy award winnert. Paramount may have gotten the music for themselves for further movies. I hope this music is in the movie but from what I've seen of the kind of movie this is, I think that it's only using this music as movie hype.
I guess we'll find out one way or another.

That names rings a bell. I think he has done a few score for other JJ movies. I'd say he has produced the modified version of the score at Paramounts insistence. If they bought the rights they can say here use this.

There are always alternatives.
Interesting, the background video is the older cut of trailer 3.

I've seen music reused by artist before.
The Enterprise Theme is one of them and it was created by someone other than Horner and the other dude...but an entire piece of music copied? For a film that You're supposed to be composing...

I'm not going to say it can't happen...but then what's the use in hiring a composer to score a film? You're kinda interfering with the creative flow if you come in on the middle of it and say "here, use this."...

I can't adequately articulate my reaction to that. Surfice to say it would interpreted as disrespectful.

True. But there's nothing to say people can't reach a compromise. It's a great piece of music. I'm certain they will fit it somewhere. Little tag on the credits: Additional music by the Freedom Fighters?
