The part where Uhura says to Kirk, "I hope you know what you're doing" has been removed. I wonder why?

I realized too, there are two versions. One including the szene with Uhura ("I hope you know, what you are doing.") and one version missing it. As far as I know the Uhura version is the trailer for the UK. I have no clue why they decided to give the UK trailer an extra scene. No idea. Is Uhura a big character in the Kingdom? Is Saldana a big star there?

That was the only part of the trailer that I didn't like. Dialogue is essential in Star Trek. It was virtually ignored in Star Wars. To me, that line sounded like something Princess Leia would say to Han Solo. After that, I half expected Spock to say "I have a bad feeling about this." It probably works better in the movie as a whole than in the trailer.

Simply. The line casts doubt on Kirk. That's a negative aspect that should not have been in the trailer in the first place.

That may be it. I checked trekmovie again and the according szene isnt in the UK trailer anymore either. May be someone decided to keep "I have a bad feeling about this" out of it entirely. Just make a bold stand: Its Star Trek, you will enjoy it, its awesome, period.

I thought it was a scene just after he takes command, and although he has convinced the others in some speech I would imagine, Uhura makes this comment. Kirk has always made the decisions without hesitation , but also questioned himself and revealed it to the ones closest to him. He goes with his gut instincts in many cases and is almost always right, but every decision does have a consequence.

I thought the doubt that Uhura showed in that scene, changed her mind in the other scene when Kirk smiles and gestures to her in another scene when she smiles at him like he is saying It will be alright, and she is satisified.

One of them is a final cut...other will likely be removed.

The scene where Kirk nods and hold his hand up and Uhura smiles is aboard the shuttlecraft.

Both scenes are take place in the movie, one is aboard the Enterprise and aboard a shuttlecraft.
