if it does go... i'm sure among us someone here has the skill needed to put together something like this again.... of course we'd have to work out how to host it and pay for the domain name. not to mention vB or iPB license

My guess is, as long as there are plans for an upcoming Star Trek movie, they'll keep the board....if the franchise rolls over and dies, then I'd expect to see it closed.

I'm willing to bet that there'll be another Star Trek movie. The cast has already signed a multi-picture deal and the studio has been very happy with the product so far from all reports.

I'd think that there will be another Trek as well. I don't see the movie tanking...but only time will tell.

Transformers is still alive as a franchise. I'm sure there's at least one more movie. I'm sure the same deal applies here: if the movie's big enough to warrant a sequel, then the board will live.

It would be less confusing and less of a concern if Paramount just used CBS Studios www.startrek.com website and forums.
Different companies yes, but that site was already well established.

There is already a forum for "Star Trek XI: The Movie". I think that just about covers the location for any new thread to discuss the movie. I'm sure the admins will post new rules if they do not want too many spoilers to be discussed. Maybe there will be a way to add a spoiler tag to the title of a thread to indicate it is a discussion for those fans that have already seen the movie?
