Okay folks, as i said, i dont have sound on my computer, so i snuck onto the website to see it- MUSIC IS FANTASTIC!!! I had to rub my eyes :P.
Anyways. I talked the kid sitting next to me, who wasn't a fan ( It took 20 minutes of begging) and he finally did. We didnt get to watch the whole thing, and had to stop it alot ( I was pretending to browse google earth) when she walked by. He said he didn't really like Trek, again and i had to do alot of presuading, but after it, i asked what he though. Throughout it he was going "Woah!". At the end i asked him, and he said "i want to see it, now". This trailer was probably the most impacting in marketing. JJ And Crew: |

I'll second that! You guys aren't just to be commended for a job well done, but also thanked. I've got a feeling there will be more words of thanks coming your way from loyal Trekkies after the movie's release, but I would like to say thanks now as well. You didn't have to release that early, and it was a great surprise; especially, for we Trek fans. Thank you!!!

Why?

Because of all the hype. We are seeing all the action sequences in the trailers. What's left for the movie?
Plus, it's an odd numbered trek. Although this rule went out the window after #10.The name, "Star Trek", carries a bit of a stigma with it. There are those that like it, those that don't and unbelievably, there are those that have never heard of it. If this is a reboot, and they want to get new people to watch, how do they eliminate the stigma that comes with the name, Star Trek? Those that don't like ST, won't watch, and those that have never heard of it, probably still haven't heard about it. So that just leaves those that like it. Which are the fans. So who are they trying to get to watch the new ST? They know the fans will, even if it's just out of curiosity for some. |
