Nero looks like he'll be great.
Seems like he's legitimately crazy, can't wait to pick up the Countdown paperback.

Watching your home planet explode would tend to make one go crazy

IDK why, but the line "FIRE EVERYTHING!" seems to have underlying feelings of hopelessness and anger. I'm guessing he's sort of figured he can't fix the future, and is pretty much giving up. But IDK, it seems to have some emotion behind it.

I figured after you saw the trailer you would change your mind. I think he may be right up there with Khan. I think it really all comes down to how Bana delivers him.....Montalban nailed Khan.

See, I thought more along the lines of "throw everything at him...no mercy", not desperation.

This character has a lot of anger, so I see him projecting that anger in everything he does....no restraint.

Even less than Shinzon?

At least F. Murray Abraham played Ru'Ahfo, which kept that character from being a total loss...

Cool

I found this pic that's supposed to be Nero on the surface of Vulcan, and...

Wait a minute...

Never mind.

Nero seems to me to be a combination of Genghis Kahn and Bernie Madoff. Both vicious and vindictive with a wake of destruction left in his path.

That's the vibe I got from it too.... a 23rd century way of saying "Fire at will" without sounding like Horatio Hornblower. Nero is overwhelming his target with firepower, and he doesn't want to make a long speech explaining the order.
