The new transporter room looks like a cross between the deceleration chamber on the CD-57 (Forbidden Planet) and the time chamber from the movie Timeline.

Have you watched his show "Fringe"?
They have free-standing glass dry-erase boards in their lab.
Kind of reminded me of the thread about the data screens on the bridge.
