CNN--er, NCC: Again, an excellent thread! I always had a fondness of the character Lt. Uhura based on the experience Nichelle Nichols had with that character (and how she found out her role was an inspiration to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.). Now, with Zoe as the Lieutenant and what she expressed about the role, the fondness grows deeper...



Plus, both actressess are HOT!

Yes..She showed a genuine interest in her part and almost a loyalty to it as well.

I love everything about her. Nichols' Uhura allowed me to cast aside my fathers racism and to apprecaite the true bueaty of women of color. Saldana's Uhura is going to add so much to that apprecaition.

I was like ten and father made some off the wall commit about her kissing Kirk, I looked at him and then looked at the TV and then looked back at him, and said "man your stupid” and my mom hit the floor laughing.
