Chris Pine, star of Paramount's upcoming "Star Trek," will be honored as the Male Star of Tomorrow at ShoWest 2009.
Pine, whose credits include last year's "Bottle Shock" and 2006's "Smokin' Aces," will be feted at an April 2 awards gala set to close the annual exhibition confab. ShoWest opens March 20 at the Bally's and Paris hotels in Las Vegas.
"ShoWest has a history of recognizing major talents at the very earliest points in their rising careers," ShoWest co-managing director Mitch Neuhauser said. "Pine's impressive skills on the screen and stage will be sure to be showcased with his performance as Captain Kirk."

I've thought he was smoking hot and MY male of tommorrow since I saw him in The Princess Diaries 2. Okay, now all of you can laugh at me. I know it's really gay. No, not the part about Pine being my male... The Princess Diaries part. LOL!!

Pine's a cutie, alright. Personally, I prefer Zachary Quinto. I love men with dark, piercing eyes. My husband has eyes a little like Quinto. Too bad my son inherited my eyes.

There is a bit of gossip about one of Star Trek's competitors: Terminator. Youtube has a clip of an audio file of Christian Bale behaving horribly towards one of the crew. It was awful and it went on and on. The tech guys work just as hard as the actors and don't get near the amount of recognition or money. It really made me not want to go see Terminator. One of my best friends teaches set design for the drama dept. at a local university. He works so hard. It would break my heart if anyone spoke to him that way.

I heard the audio link to that tirade by Mr. Bale and it is disgusting. I mean so what if someone made a mistake and walked into frame. It does not give anyone the right to talk that way to anyone. It breaks my heart hearing someone talk that way to anyone. Shame on Mr. Bale. Makes me wonder if those reprots about his mother and sister.
