Can you imagine, in the first screening, everyone will have pen and paper so they can write the fullest review they can - need to remember to watch the film as well!!!

I usually take a look at that on the second or third pass, unless it's really glaring.

In Nem, they were pretty obvious.
I just hope XI will not be as fast as the trailers suggest. In Transformers, I could barely see anything.
Back in the 70s, they wanted the -unseen!- Alien to be scary, because it's in the dark and simply not seen.
Now they make things move so fast that you can't see anything again. Yesterday's darkness and shadows are todays blurred stripes.

Depends on what style J.J is aiming for. But I agree that a lot of modern films are edited to fast, with too many cuts etc. It doesn't always disagree with me but sometimes it's far too fast (i.e the car chase at the start of Quantum of Solace was potentially superb, but destroyed by being cut to nothing)

It's not just the cuts... even if you move through it frame by frame, you often see nothing but blurred stripes because of the fast movements.

I can't find any live stream... local TV doesn't show the ads...
I saw shuttle launches live on NASA streams, political highlights are live on CNN.com, but where can international viewers get a live stream of the SB?

Does anyone know why the movie is being released earlier than May 8 in other parts of the world? I don't think I've ever seen this for a big American movie. It certainly doesn't seem... logical... Could this be Paramount's way of testing the waters before the North American release?
