The way JJ & Co. are portraying the Narada certainly makes it look more menacing, but V'Ger could swallow up planets, ships, solar systems, etc. I'll have to judge when I see it.

Spoiler Picture

This is floating round the internet. Reminds me slightly of the Holographic Romulan Ship in Enterprise.

OMG, that would be bigger than the Super Star Destroyer in Star Wars.

That thing's about 17 km (19.5 miles) long, so I don't think Nero's ship would really compare... it's pretty huge compared to the average Trek ship though.

Look how big it is compared to the Kelvin in the trailer. The Kelvin looks like it would be about as big as a quarter of the Narada.

v'ger could kick the narada's butt... v'ger was massive in full form and took several minutes for the Enterprise to even enter and get to the center of going at a pretty fast speed on the way, and even once past the screens the v'ger ship core at the center was huge. I mean how would a ship even fight v'ger if it didn't let you in past its defensive nebula like insanely huge screens? There's nothing to target! lol
