(Raiders of the Lost Ark had a lot of graphic violence in it, just to name an example.) Star Trek II was PG, and was rather intense for a PG film. If made exactly the way it was back then with today's ratings standards, it would've easily gotten a PG-13. I have a feeling this Trek will get a PG-13. It looks pretty intense. Then again, (tangentially speaking) I figured the new Harry Potter movie (Half-Blood Prince) would've gotten a PG-13, and apparently it's only going to be PG, which means they're going to cut out or tone down a lot of stuff in the book.

I'd still put my money on PG-13. The new Trek definitely looks like a PG-13 movie.

Im hoping its a PG13 movie because I wouldnt want it to be cut back just to make a lower rating. Plus when its a PG there is a higher chance of kids in the cinema talking, complaining, screaming etc.. You wouldnt believe how many parents go to see movie and treat it as a daycare centre!
