I, as you know, said that i liked JJ's big E. I did not LOVE it. I supported it, bacause it was part of the franchise now. With the release of the new toys, with side shots of it, i began to realize. The ship's hull isn't that bad, in fact, it looks pretty sleek. So, what do you think? HJas it changed your opinion any?

it was the angle that made it look bad in the first pic. even though i like the new design i wish it was closer to the origanal.

Exactly. Just look at the Playmates Enterprise E from First Contact. It wasn't even close in the details. Just the overall shape. Definitely not a replica, just a toy approximation. But I must admit, after seeing the toy version of the Abramsprise, it doesn't look quite as bad as the original photo. But it's still not the Enterprise.

That's not what I meant. I meant that the Playmates version did not look exactly like the movie version. It was a toy and not a very accurate representation of the actual ship from the movie. I actually have one of those and the nacelle pylons and the nacelles themselves are inaccurate as are most of the other details. Just the shape of the ship is close. That's why we shouldn't take the photo of the Playmates version that seriously.

Here's a picture of the box. Notice the curvature of the pylons and the bussards on the nacelles. They are not accurate according to the movie. playmates.jpg
