It's horrible that THIS is the way the phaser is being revealed.

That being said, the figure itself isn't terribly impressive. Won't be collecting that particular scale, I guess.

Here's hoping the 3 3/4 inch scale is superior.

They aren't exactly introducing the phaser, their introducing an action figure. How accurate can this blurry picture of a 1/4" piece of plastic be? If we don't see the movie phaser until may, then so be it but I bet we will see a better shot in the Super Bowl ad.

At least Kirk's aunt didn't knit him a sweater with a cute dinosaur on it. I hope the clothing shown is a prototype -- not that I'm a figure collector, just saying.

The fabric for the new uniforms looks very disco ball. Maybe it's so they don't loose track of the captain during a red alert?
The figure looks passable. At least it looks vaguely human. I remember the ones I used to have as a kid and that is a tad less scary.

I think I just barfed in my mouth a little, but it's hard to tell when my eyes are bleeding.

Okay this is strike one...hopefully there is a few adjustments from the prototype figure to the actuall retail product? "The sweater" tunic is ridiculous!
