I'd be up for an Armada 3, but that would be a tough design to work on.

I'd love an FPS (I LOVE Elite Force), but (as stated before) most movie video games are pretty bad.

Yes, a video game that follows the movie plot more or less closely sounds like a great idea. And if it's at least half as awesome as Transformers The Game, it'll be great.
I'd love to see a complicated RPG (like SW KotOR or Neverwinter Nights or Oblivion) instead of a TPP combat game though.

Iam not truly convinced that anyone at this point can or are willing to produce are real quality ST game and we have seen that in recent years and in the past and currently with the cancellation of STO. I think in order for a real star trek game to come about you need a serious company with real experience in game making not a gaming company that doesn't have a real interest in making a real quality game and while some might disagree i know of those on these forums which have been around this far longer than i can attest to the fact that it has been one disaster after another unfortunately.

We'll Bethesda has said they are not doing one, so that rules them out of the running. Its possible another company could be doing one, but I think publishers will wait and see how the movie does before they take a chance of investing several million on a game based on it.

YEah i'm a gamer... Armada 2 and Starfleet Command... i'd like to see some RTS or 1st person someething come out of it but probably wouldn't happen...

Missing option?
I would think, with so little truly known about the movie, an:
-I don't know yet - need to see the movie first option should have been a choice... thus I have not voted in this one. Not that the movie may be bad (or good, or great or terrible), but some movies make poor games with today's technology. Hard to decide without knowing more about the movie to see how it would translate into a video game (if at all). Senseless to find it won't translate into a game, and make some "Use some other FPS game engine, make it another generic FPS and call it ST:11 The Game" - so I am withholding my vote till we know more...

If it is a good game then I'd say go for it, the KOTOR series even though only based on star wars did very well and the lord of the rings games were very good as well
