What struck me was that they were all just "regular people." Ever since that week on Jekyl Island, I said that I wouldn't ever be an autograph hound.

But I didn't say I wouldn't geek out if I met the original & new crew of the Enterprise!
Jodie Foster was in "Glory?"

Yeah, but in a six degrees kind of way, you're much closer than the rest of us!

Maybe a set visit? I don't remember her actually in the film though.

Over the last three years my friend has had a certain degree of success (commercials, documentaries, small movie roles) and during that time he also took a 12-week theater course alongside (yep you guessed it) Chris Pine. During the 12-week course Chris was in the process of making a name for himself when Just My Luck and Smokin Aces hit theaters. However, Chris continued taking classes and improving his craft and my friend found him to be a "very humble person and a hungry actor" with a "good head on his shoulders."

From this first hand account, it would seem to me that Chris Pine will be a worthy James T. Kirk that will not disappoint us long-time Trek fans when the new film finally arrives.
I'm looking forward to this film more an more.

I now owe the Golden Globes....when Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto came out I ran into the living room to watch it on the big high def set (I'm in the hobby room with a 19 in set next to my computer). I said "ooooo....Chris Pine looks great"...she said "oh, yes he does!"...

That right there might make it easy to get her to come along for opening night....

Yes, fellow Trekker. She was the wife of Matthew Brodrick, at leas that's what one of the production crew members told me. However, she wasn't in the film. It was a small roll, but as they say, "Small Role. Big Actress."

That is what Foster is. But she's made a more than descent living of her share of big and small roles over her life. My favorite was Contact and the second was Flight Plan
.

I am glad that Pine is getting more buzz...So far he has had the least attention about who he is and how he gets into roles and such. (that I've seen)
