Holy crap, that's awesome. It practically takes an act of Congress (and a damn huge amount of money) to get an advertising spot during the Super Bowl. Even if it is the same trailer or commercial, it's huge. Some people literally watch the Super Bowl just for the commercials.

Trust me...you don't pay that much money for a slot and then show a trailer you've already seen.

It will be modified with more footage....
Watchout, likely they'll give the movie away.

I think they might add and subtract some footage for the Superbowl ad slot they have purchased...However give the movie away? I think that is rather unlikely considering all the pains Abrams has taken to keep the plot under wraps.

Why it will end up on YouTube?

I would not be surprised to see additional footage, but I suspect it won't be much unless the Veil of Secrecy is lifted.

It doesn't matter, really. I should think airing the same trailer or commercial that's been out for some time now wouldn't detract at all from the impact this will have. I would bet real money there will be people watching the Super Bowl who have no idea there's a new Trek movie coming out. Showing them the existing trailer will be significant.

remember the studio has say, not Abrams. If they're going to spend the money on a super bowl they'll likely show you more of the action scenes.

There is still a full length trailer to go...
I've no doubt it will be a new trailer.

I just wish that the Romulans would quit cloaking their players! Now introducing, number 00 for Romulan Warbirds..uh damn...where he go?
