I heard "Tiberius." For the spelling impaired, it's T I B E R I U S.

Thank you, and good night.

"My name is Jameshyberious Kirk!"

Maybe he had a lisp as a kid. Could be worse, he could've had a stutter.

"Tiberius" is not "Canon" so this film is not either. It was in the animated series that the revelation of Captain James T. Kirk's middle name was "Tiberius".

Since TAS is generally regarded as non-canon among fans, Gene Rodenberry himself rejected the notion that TAS was canon and the Stardates are inconsistent with those established in the original series ..... "Tiberius" is therefore not officially canon. For all we know our beloved captain's real name is James Thomas Kirk.

How you like them apples?

Well, I consider it canon, he was called Tiberius in TUC, so as Emperor Joseph was fond of saying, "ah, there it is".

Well to be fair, the kid was supposed to be a little out of breath. He'd just jumped out of a speeding car and nearly fell out of a cliff; he's not going to have the diction of a newscaster...

LOL - Touche' ...... But, maybe TUC is not "Canon" either.

And I hate to correct you but the Emperor Joseph did not say, "ah, there it is". What he said after he put on his dreamcoat was "'I'm an old fool who's so cool, If you want to get down, I'm gonna show you the way, whoomp there it is, Let me hear you say: Whoomp chak a laka chack a laka chak a laka chak a"

Lastly, I'm pretty sure I heard the Kid playing kirk say his name was: "James Bocephus Kirk", his father must have been a Hank Williams Jr. fan.
