I could use my own words, but I'm lazy and these two have summed up my opinions perfectly, so I'll just agree with everything they've just said

I think generally that Star Trek should, in theory, outdo Nemesis in most concievable ways. But I don't totally dislike Nemesis, it's not my favourite, but sometimes I find it ok.

I expect nothing more than a mediocre movie but they cannot do worse than NEM unless someone intentionally wants to mess things up

Although it is only superficial stuff, Nero's similarity with Mr.Nosferatu-who-can-build-a-warbird-on-Romulus-without-being-noticed-by-the-Romulan-Star-Empire is still creepy:

The odds favour trek cause many companies are involved, spyglass entertainment,ILM,bad robot and paramount,i believe steps are carefully being taken this time. These guys know their stuff, there is too much at stake to go wrong.Nemesis failed cause rick berman production company was about to collapse

200 x 0 is still 0.

That's a great way of putting it. Yes definitely.

I don't know...I really liked Nemesis...except the ending...I much perferred the alternate ending with Riker playing a joke on the new First Officer...although I think it would have been better if h promoted Worf...anyway...In regards to XI...it is hard to judge a movie I have yet seen...I will therefore abstain for now.

This kinda sounds like comparing a polar bear to a penquine. All can agree that these two films come from the same genre area.(Hence the Star Trek moniker) Yet are two different animals. We could all see that Nemesis was taking the Star Trek franchise down the path leading to bloody-nosed defeat. Of course the new Star Trek film is going to do better. Paramount has learned that and needed to tranfuse new blood into the franchise. Not by "re-hashing" the same look and feel but by starting at the beginning and re-tell an old legend in a light that makes it more now.
