Default Why?

Okay I'm liking this place very much so far. I just have one question.

Why does it keep logging me off at random times so then I have to re-log on all the time??

Does anyone else have this same problem??

Cheers,

K.

The same crap has been happening to me as well! In addition to that, sometimes when I click on my own name to see my profile, I end up getting to someone else's profile! I think this is a glitch that is hopefully going to go away in time. Because I love this board and am really dedicated to it! But, as things change around here with the sections and all, I would hope they look into those flaws as well.

I find that if I check the "Remember Me" box when I log in, that I don't experience any problems.

Yeah, it's more how you have your settings, than the web site having an issue.

Many boards will log one off if they don't post within a specified time.

Don't know about that, but I for sure know about always having to click on "Remember Me" when logging on from another computer. Lol, that TNG episode "Remember Me" just popped up in my mind, lol! Remember Daylan Quace (sp)?! lol

Two points, since I used to get logged off often myself:

1) Checking 'Remember me' stopped the problem, and I didn't change my browser security settings at all. Try it, you'll like it!

2) Many boards, like this one, CLEAR your cookies when you log off. This means you have to click 'Remember me' every time you login since it can't remember you with cookies cleared.
