I don't mind it being 3 or 4 hours if it has enough story to fill that runtime, but a 3 hour runtime just for the sake of it is an annoyance. Though I guess what folks consider 'enough story' may vary according to personal preference!

Did not JJA say that this movie will be about 2h long?
Although I would like to see "epic Trek" with a long run time, I think it is not a bad idea to counter the trend of longer and longer running blockbuster.
On the other hand, with a budget of 150 million $, the origin and Nero story to cover, this would clearly have been the story which cries for a long run time.

He's said 2 hours a few times, but it seems to have gone unnoticed!

I'd like to see Star Trek XI be about 2 and a half hours.

I fail to comprehend your indignation, sir. I have simply made the logical deduction that you are a liar. (Spock)

Just over 2 hours is just right in my book, not too short not too long.

Realistically, just over 2 hrs. For my taste? It's ST- hell I wouldn't mind an intermission.

this is hard because some films dont feel like 3 hours when you watch them because your enjoying them so much. however, other movies seem to go on for days on end (King Kong and first HULK movie). you coukd have cut at least an hour or more out of those and you wouldnt have missed it.
