Default What run time would you like to see for new Trek movie?

I personally would love to see another Star Trek movie that went just over the two hour mark. The only film that has done this is TMP. Everything else was at, or just under two hours, except for Search For Spock, which is the shortest of the films, ranking in (IIRC) at about 1hr.40min.

How long of a new Trek movie would you like to see? (Factor in good story elements, engaging visuals, good acting, etc.)

How ever long it takes to fully tell the story, keep it fast paced and exciting!

Have you ever noticed, also, that when you're watching a movie for the first time that is only about 90 minutes long, it seems like a longer movie because they try to tell so much story with so short a time frame?

When I first saw "The Black Hole" in 1979, I knew it was only slightly longer than an hour and a half, but there is so much going on in that movie, yet it's so slowly paced, that it almost felt like a two and a half hour movie.

Time is not the issue for me. "Return of the King" seemed like a 2 hour movie even though it was 3. If the movie keeps you enthralled, a lot of time can feel like a little.

When I was in a Shakespear play in high school, our teacher told me, "When people start to realize they have a butt halfway through the show, something's wrong." Basically their attention should be ahead of them, focused on stage, and not thinking how comfortable these new theater seats are.

About two hours... Runnoff films get boring, which in 3 hour movies, you have to do that. plus i dont want to stare at a screen for 3 hours.

I would like to see it closer to three hours, but realize just over two hours is more likely.
