I liked it and consider it to be canon, but I feel that the choice is up to you. If you want to call it canon then it is.

I do hate the over use of pink but if you count pink as brown then its not so bad. I have no idea y they got a color blind person to do the coloring, but they did. I cant figure out why no one else said hey thats pink your using or why is that ship pink.

anyway it is what it is, and I am glad they finlly released it on dvd.

It was actually the producer, Hal Sutherland, was the one who was color blind, so the colorists just did what he told them to do.
