It's certainly possible... but if you're going to do an animated series I would think a complete fresh start would be best.
Yeah, I see your point. Also, turns out that the DVD release of ST:TAS was "Remastered".

I imagine that was the removal of film scratches, audio work and other minor things to improve the presentation.

Cool

The only thing they should have fixed was the pink space suits worn by the Kzinti in "The Slaver Weapon."

Yeah too bad the guy they hired to do the coloring was color blind. No joke. That's why they are pink. Same with the tribbles.

I fail to comprehend your indignation, sir. I have simply made the logical deduction that you are a liar. (Spock)

Does any think they'll do something animated in the Trek universe in the future? I just saw the animated Resident Evil film and it was better than the last two movies.

If the new film does well I wouldn't be surprised if they did something animated like that.

My spousal unit bought me TAS last year and I have watched a couple of episodes. The animation is similar to the animation of the time, Johnny Quest comes to mind. I have a hard time watching it but as a Trekkie, I know I should...

I actually like Animated Star Trek.
It is the only post TOS televised or cinematic offering not to bear the advisory descriptor: Based on Star Trek.
