Post Favorite Trek Actors

My favorite Actors in Star Trek are:

William Shatner
Patrick Stewart
Leonard Nimoy

I think Shatner did a fantastic job as Kirk in all the episodes and movies he was in. I can't see anyone else playing Kirk (until May)

Not only do I admire Stewart's work in TNG, but I think he did a great job as Professor X in the 3 X-men movies and as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.

Leonard Nimoy is just amazing. His portrayal of Spock has defined Star Trek and kept it alive.

I fail to comprehend your indignation, sir. I have simply made the logical deduction that you are a liar. (Spock)

There are so many to choose from:
Mark Leonard(Sarek): For helping re-enforce the Vulcan mystique.
Michael Dorn(Worf): For creating a new image of the Honorable Klingons
Suzie Plakton(K'Elyer, Dr. Selar, Lady Q) Just the sexiest Klingon Female ever not to mention a nice Lady in real life.
and of William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, DeForest Kelley, and the funniest guy I have ever met and will miss James Doohan

Wow, too many to mention. For pure acting talent, Patrick Stewart is tops and I've loved everything I've seen him in. I think Brent Spiner is also an awesome actor, as well as an all around performer. I've had the pleasure of meeting him and Jimmy Doohan (Scotty was in a bar, of all things) and both seemed down to earth, approachable, and happy to be a part of the franchise.

I absolutely loved De Kelly- also seemed very real when I met him.

Leonard Nimoy- never met him but he is in a class by himself. Seems like he is probably a great person. I agree that Mark Lenard was the only other actor besides Nimoy who did justice to the Vulcan character.

William Campbell and John de Lancie- both played similar characters but did them really well. I was sorry that the plans to make Koloth a recurring character on the TOS were scrapped, because I liked his portrayal of that role as well.

I admired William Marshall who played Dr. Richard Daystrom in the TOS episode "The Ultimate Computer." He spoke with perfect diction. Of course, during the time TOS was in re-runs he was chasing folks on screen as Blacula.

Eddie Paskey: he was in almost every episode of TOS, and even had occasional lines. Playing "spot Paskey" is a favorite drinking game of mine.

De Kelley - a great actor who no-one seems to have a bad word for (and Shatner will forever be rock-bottom on my list, for laughing in De's face when De's dog died)

Jimmy Doohan - funny and friendly AND a real-life hero as well as a fictional one. Anyone who risked his life running up a Normandy beach on D-Day deserves serious respect.
