No matter what happens ...I think there should be some sort of rememberance for the original actors and actress that have passed on.

I'm sure there will be nods to all of the original creators of Star Trek as well as a special mention to those who have died.

Since Majel's voice is in the new movie, I'm sure there will be a some sort of dedication. I do hope there is at least a fleeting reference to Nurse Chapel and her crush on Spock. It balanced out his character. Softened his anger.

A few months ago, I was curious about all this as well but I've stopped asking myself these questions since the basic premise of the film was revealed. Until proven otherwise to me, this is not the same Trek.

I can't remember now, did they put any tribute in the Series, movies, for the other actors who have died. I remember it for Roddenbery, but can't remember for the actors.
