Default Nimoy Cut - Star Trek III

Does anybody know what happened to Nimoy's cut of Star Trek III? I'd heard he was offered the shot at a re-cut for TV, like Nick Meyer got for II. A football strike rushed ST:III's network premiere and this other version was never seen.

Maybe they just forgot about it.

I would have thought by now all the TOS movies would have had a Directors Cut. Their is still time...

(sorry, shameless opportunity for a barely relevant Trek quote. Could. Not. Resist.)

I haven't ever heard about it either. I still have to get the movies on TOS movies on DVD, I have the TNG Movies on Dvd, but VHS still works. Hopefully they will release more director's cuts.

They did a great job on TMP with the new director's cut...the Wrath of Khan Special Collector's Edition had some new work on it, too. ST III is next in line, maybe something will be done for the HD Blu-ray release, but I doubt it.

I didn't even know they were going to do a special addition
This is indeed a good job.

Maybe they will actually get high quality shots of the Deloriean saving Kruge from falling off the cliff right when he hits the lava. Great Scott!
