I think it most elegant. However why's there a satellite in the very front of the ship? Would it really get reception properly when most of the range is covered by the main body?

that is a deflector dish. it pushes things out of the way of the ship like a cow catcher. and they are actually developing them now for space crafts.

cant remember. but they used a strong magnetic field to deflect i plasma beam. it may be used to protect satellites and stuff from solar flairs and of there dangers.

Must be a special field to prevent interference with other technology up there.

Geeky trivia alert: When The Next Generation episode 'The Battle' was written, Picard's USS Stargazer was originally going to be a Constitution-class ship - so they could re-use the Enterprise-A model. Filming had already begun when they decided to change to a newer class of ship. When Wesley calls it "Constellation class", that line's acutally dubbed over him saying "Constitution class".

It's a good view, but all the colors are out of whack, and it's not clearly defined. I think the graphics level is higher than my puter is capable of. It looks like i'm looking at the picture on acid or something.
