They should set up a buy and sell for trek related stuff. Or some sort of store where you pay a small fee to list an item.

Also a section where those fans who make trek videos can upload.

Given that it is an official site also some other types of incentives such as tickets to the premier for a couple of members (one a month for best post or thread) or win autographed poster of the cast would keep fans interested.

Have intermittent times when some of the stars post on here also or answer questions where reasonable.

I am thinking that the forum could lose interest before the film hits without something extra to keep the fans coming back. There are only so many questions that can be raised and no doubt many of them will get recycled but can it last for twelve months? perhaps it can.

Trek United has got similar projects running, such as celeb chats now and then or - above said - the chance to win some sweet originally signed autographs with nice photos and so on.
