Thoughts on his first game in charge tonight? Looks like Owen will be on the bench with Joe Cole playing just behind Rooney.

I liked his press conference yesterday and the fact he calls the players by their surnames not like McClaren did "Stevie G "and "JT...." The man demands respect and doesn't want to be "chums" with the players like McClown did.

I think we'll easily win tonight but we won't really know what sort of manager he is until we reach another World Cup quarter final. Has he the balls to go for it or will he be another Sven trying to defend a 1-0 lead for 80 minutes.....

Fingers crossed he will have a good first game. Its good that he has the gut to drop top players for a better team as a whole (Gerard and Lampard never worked so why stick with it for years!!!!), something i felt Sven would never do. Lets just hope things go better than they did with the Rugby last weekend!

Well i like his, obey the rules stance but then again that could just be for show. Only the game will tell.

The English players just seem to lack creativity and resourcefulness.

I think Cappello showed what sort of manager he is. He identified the problems at HT and the 2nd half was much, much better.

Gerrard as MOM though?!

Another uninspiring performance from him I thought. Bentley or Joe Cole MOM for me
