Prequels are good ideas. Sometimes the execution of them is what's bad. Please don't let the bad apples (Star Wars prequels, actually I only disliked the first one) ruin it and make you think prequels are always bad ideas.

My question to you is why are prequels bad ideas?

Next question, wouldn't a show about April or Pike be a prequel? Thou dust contradict thyself.
