My aunt gave me a book when I was younger. I forget the name..but, the plot was combining 2 tv show storylines. It was a Star Trek book, but the Enterprise crew went back in time to earth in the early 1900's and they landed in Washington and the people they met were the cast of the show 'Here come the brides'. So the book basically combined Star Trek and Here Come The Brides. Most people haven't heard of that show but it was a cool show starring David Soul & Bobby Sherman.

I love Star Trek literature:

the Vanguard series
Daedelus and Daedelus's Children
the Stargazer books by Jan and Michael Freidman

LOL, you guys are giving me flashbacks here! I have been reading the novels for a very long time. Anyone remember the books published by Bantam (Spock Messiah, Price of the Phoenix/Fate of the Phoenix)?

My two faves were Wounded Sky and Crisis on Centarus (spelling). Still have all of these, original publication.

Oh, wow, I think I read some of these - that title Wounded Sky was one that I really liked. I wonder if I could still find that one on my bookshelf somewhere? It's been years!

For me, it was the novelizations of the first six Trek movies--those are what got me into reading Trek books and suggesting that there was more to Trek than just what was onscreen.

I'm really enjoying Vanguard and the post-Nemesis TNG books right now, but if I had to nail down a more specific title, it would be the first two installments* of the Genesis Wave "quadrology" in which the secrets of Project: Genesis came back to haunt the Federation in the 24th-Century and Geordi LaForge got some well deserved attention.

*The last two books--don't bother.
