I think I finally get you Canonites.

You basically want JJ to nod to what was...because to do otherwise is basically an insult to the original storyteller's ideas.

I can agree with that. You want him to at least try to adhere to what Star Trek started out to be...not throw all of it away and start over completely.

I can understand that. I won't attack canonites anymore. I'm a canonite in a way in that case.

I believe that is the general consensus.. though I don't like the term myself.

Would you prefer Babble-onians?

Face it, they've been lost in the wilderness for 40 years with idolatry of the great bird of the galaxy and his hatchlings, it's time to find the promised land already.

JSnider, man, you really don't like us do you? I'm sorry that you feel the need to come on this Star Trek board and proclaim that avid fans of Star Trek are lame losers, doesn't reflect too well on you I should say.

Have a nice day,

Depends on who is posting.

I do see witch-hunts being conducted on the iconoclastic society who desires change of the graven images of Roddenberry and the B&B bushels of Trek.

Planet of the Apes! The movie by Tim Burton comes to mind.

He's right Jsnyder. Security in ones only validity begins in how we express ourselves to others.
