True, but if you spend your entire life avoiding danger because of fear, do you really live?

No you don't actually live. great question and observation. Fight or flight, it's not always flight. Fear can actually be your friend in many ways, if you control it and do not allow IT to control you. That may sound a bit fortune cookie-ish, but it is true.

I do, actually, and have several personally commissioned and published stories for which I retained credit.

Some of the projects I've undertaken, I didn't want credit for.

No. Compared to ghostwritten or even credited mainstream fiction, the pay for Trek novels is pretty low-end, and the reputation within the publishing industry you get from franchise novel credits doesn't translate to better offers.

Saint, Thanks for the info. What about a fan fiction Trek story? We all know how you feel and what your stance's are regarding Trek, but we haven't seen an example of how you would have written, or would write, a Trek story. I actually think you could write an awesome Trek story. Maybe you could do a TOS short story?
