Default Any deer hunters here?

Since I've been suffering through the cold for that glimpse of brown for a few days now, I thought I'd see if anyone else here enjoys hunting deer (or are forced by dads to do so like me )

I've both hunted and fished. I'm definitely an outdoorsy kind of a guy. Both rabbit and squirrel make excellent eating, even though rabbits can be a little unpleasant to clean, but once you get them that way, YUM! Crappie are the best tasting fish to me. I love a good stringer of crappie. Bass and Perch are also tasty. Catfish is my least favorite, but I still like it. In fact, I don't believe I ever met a fish I didn't enjoy. I even ate Thresher shark once, it had a dense consistancy, but a marvellous flavor.

I think my favorite fish is salmon, though Amberjack is a close second.

Yeah, I've heard shark is pretty tough, never tried it though.

Dense, not tough. Like a very firm tuna steak, but far more flavorful. I really enjoyed it, and would doubtless eat it again.

Ah I see. I had the opportunity to try some sort of shark once, but turned it down. My dad and I used to go deep sea fishing once a year and bring back so much fish, mostly amberjack and mackerel, some grouper.

One thing I've always wanted to do is flyfish for marlin. Only saltwater flyfishing I've done is tarpon and that was fun. It was on the Florida Key Flats. You could walk out to the horizon, very strange experience, kinda surreal, but definitely worth doing if you get the chance.

What is Grouper like? I've always kind of wondered. But whatever it tastes like, as big as those moppa-poppa's are, I bet there's always plenty to go around!
