He uses that pic to illustrate his point, yet that bright-eyed smile is so very classic Scotty (as I've mentioned previously in other threads). I think it's a wonderful tribute (intentional or not) to James Doohan's portrayal of the character.

When Scotty is giving the captain warp power in three minutes or they're all dead, some will forget all about Jar Jar Binks.

Pegg, as a devoted TREK fan, will never denigrate the character of Scotty in his performance. They just picked a line which offered some lightness to the trailer for variety.

Actually, I think that Pegg is actually a devoted Star Wars fan! He's mentioned it in numerous interviews.

Despite this, I think he's a great choice and will do a good job with the character!

Glad to see nobody sees the comparison between Jar Jar and Scotty.

Oh no no no!! I met his friend Mark Gatiss at a book signing of his, and he saw my ''Expendable'' T-shirt and started talking about Pegg and how excited he was about the film!
