Well thing is not Jar Jar Binks being irritating, it was a flagrant attemp to appeal to the kids, which did not work and ended up smelling like a rotten egg to Star Wars fans. Cant blame them though..... Episode 1 was simply terrible, Shows how even the creators of a saga can be soooo wrong about a plot device.

And yet, Episode I, for all it's perceived flaws, worldwide and pound for pound, still alone did only marginally worse than all 10 Star Trek movies combined. I'd say that's a pretty good take for a movie that was so "ill received".

My only beef with Episode I was that Darth Maul was so short lived a bad guy. There could've been a LOT of potential with that character.

I don't think that GiarcYekrub means the character of Scottie is like Jar Jar, I think he sees a physical resemblance between Jar Jar and Scottie with that expression and costume on.
