I've heard it takes place post-Nemesis. Perhaps, the story centers from just after Unification to beyond Nemesis? That's how I would like to see it!

Isn't the logical timeframe the post-Nemesis era? Of course the story can start earlier, after Unification. We might see some plot in this time, Spock continuing efforts for reunification and where Nero is from, and then some plot in the peace post-Nemesis time, either sans Data or with B4.
Might be the first comic I ever buy

Whoah that looks awesome. I'm a bit suprised though. I thought Abrams was going to reboot the franchise or maybe just the original series era perhaps?
