Default What other big name directors would you like to see?

I was mega excited when i heard JJ Abrams was on the new trek film.
It has got me wondering what other big name directors would do.
Who would you like to see in terms of directors or screen writers for future trek films?
Anyone says George Lucas has to do 1000 push ups.

Lucas? Bleh, please...

I would say Steven Spielberg, but his movies have gotten a little odd over the years.

Ridley Scott - Alien, Gladiator, Blade Runner, Blackhawk Down, American Gangster, G.I. Jane, Legend etc. etc. etc. He is just awesome. I have not seen Kingdom of Heaven or seen only parts of Hannibal.

Do not let Micheal Bay(Armageddon, Transformers, Pearl Harbor) touch Star Trek. With him all the scenes will be just gorgeous but but but... all his movies...the stories lacked substance.
The Island is the only movie to argue against this. That was a solid movie, story and performance-wise.

I like Micheal Bay. Eh... if there wasn't Ridley Scott... and nobody else available... I'll be alright... I guess.

Ridley Scott is able to visualize on the spot quickly sketch them down into lil storyboards and everybody around him gets his vision instantly.

Here is a bit of trivia... The actor for Shinzon was in Blackhawk Down. He was with the soldier that got his hearing blown out. The actor for Neelix was in The Island.
