I run an aluminum brass & aluminum sand cast foundry here in Florida and these delta shields are most definitely sand castings, which I really dig. You will notice the rough inclusions that are the call signs for cast in sand parts. It is an industrial art form thats been around for 200 years and now I am relieved to know for another few hundred perhaps.

I love most of the stuff but that one with the station and the orignal enterprise image is just ick, sorry. It would look much better if you used a different angle view of the enterprise, that angle is just horrible.

Sorry, that's the only angle of the Enterprise available (it could be turned to the left but then the lighting would be weird I think). They've been very stingy with pics of old NCC-1701.

Actually there IS a new pic of the Enterprise, I think you can find it on Trekmovie somewhere.
