I've been working on a reboot myself... I could deliver a film that is a TRUE reboot that both old & new fans would LOVE! Not only that but I would give fans what THEY want... They would get a REAL updated TOS Entrprise that
fans would say "now THAT's more like it!".

There is TONS of Trek lore that has never been done. TONS of stories never told. Why reinvent the wheel? Why keep repeating the mistakes other film makers make when they do this??

Come on folks lets put an end to this "Trek fans are so desperate they will go see ANYTHING" mentality. Abams is just another Berman & Braga. Look at how successful THEIR reboot of the franchise was. Come on Paramount enough tossing us crap then wondering why we aren't scarfing it down.

I DO know better than you & can PROVE it. Let me put together a production staff & I will take on AbramsTrek & blow it out of the sky
like a bad monster flick.
If you're sincere, this is eerie. If not, I'm deeply and profoundly flattered, as this would be the first time I've been parodied.

"Then" didn't specify where the individuals being pointed out might originate. :P

As a child, I didn't like potatoes. As an adult, I do like them, and if I was a film director I could probably make a decent movie about the potato industry.

Except for the countless fans who complain that it's not what they had in mind for a reboot, why's a reboot necessary, raping my childhood, worst movie ever, destroying the myth, etc etc... No matter how it was done, or by whom, there'd always be some who feel left out or put out.

Qutie right - and the tale of the original Enterprise crew coming together for the first time... that one's never been told, except for fragmentary snippets from sources of dubious canonicity.
