Yeah, I guess I didn't make that clear. Oh wait, I already did! I said "seems to me".

And then of course you simply support what I've always been trying to say about canon being relative. It really is the nature of the beast. And the nature was sort defined by Roddenberry already by supporting the idea of "revisionist thinking".

My original point though is basically when it comes to death even the most lax person dealing with canon kind of goes, "Woe, let's think about this one." And it's the death of a main character. The main character.

Even J. J. Abrams in all that he's being accused of, you have to admit that even he wouldn't fool around with death of a main character. Heck, say if he did. The new movie comes out, and McCoy is killed off. Then yes even I would be pretty damn mad.
