For what it's worth, I myself am not getting such a bright and shiny picture of what lies ahead. From my vantage point, It looks like a lot of hard work and some bumpy roads that we could get over through perserverance and hard work. But I don't see any pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, just a nice hot bowl of rainbow stew.

Economists know about the unpredictability of the future, they only do forecasts because other people who believe they can want them to do it
But seriously, Ben Bernanke is a much better man at the helm of the Fed than Mr.Mysterious Greenspan. While he was in academics, he did research about the Great Depression.
