Welcome to the forum Mr. Jones, and thank you for your service.

So I was wondering, does TJ stand for "Technical Jargon?"

Not true. There was Admiral Nechayev in TNG and I remember seeing Janeway as an Admiral as well, in First Contact if I'm not mistaken.

Heh, thanks mmore. I've been around a while, just haven't felt the need to jump into the fray that often.

And no, LOL, it doesn't. Though, I suppose that since I'm an old nuclear-engineering-technician-turned-electrician-turned-broadcast journalist-turned-audiovisual specialist, it might as well be.

"T.J. Jones" is short for Tyler Jamison Jones, a character I played in an old free-form Star Trek RPG from '94-'01. My avatar is a portrait a friend made of him.

When you're in a combat situation in the Army no one would wear rank cause then the bad guys know who to shoot... I suppose that analogy breaks down a bit on the bridge of a starship... but it's a good guess!
When in doubt...shoot the one in the center chair if you are blitzing the bridge.

It was Nemesis. Voyager had just gone missing a year previous to First Contact.
