Romulan/Reman ships have always been the most intimidating to me.

No other starship ever evoks fear from me as the Scimitar, and the Narada looks even more menacing.

And a lot of humans have a deep-seated fear of both creatures, which is why the starship versions are very intimidating vessels.

The spider thought never crossed my mind but I see your point now. I always thought the Scimitar had more of a lion fish appearance.

The Box Jellyfish holds the record of possessing the most powerful neurotoxin known of any animal on this planet if I'm not mistaken.

Do you also fear snails, just because some snails are toxic?

It's not just the toxicity.

Jellyfish are naturally more dangerous in almost every way compared to a snail and you know it.

They are transparent so you can't see them in the water well(Like all Romulan vessels I expect The Narada to have a cloaking field).

Their tentacles are long and numerous and can damage multiple areas quickly(The Empire article suggests that The Narada takes down 27 Klingon vessels single handedly).

And like I said before the Box Jellyfish has the most potent neurotoxin known to man(The Narada can create a black hole).
