Default Oh Hell No

Boycott?!!! Sheesh I can't believe any "Fans" would even consider such a thing. It is like they are saying "I love Star Trek so much, it is being bad, it should die!" Crazy talk for sure.

I guess but whatever.
I'll probably end up trashing the movie afterward. I'm just giving it the curtesy of waiting to actually see it...un like the Boycott group and com'on...

get a grip. It's not that big of a travesty if trek died. I'm sure we all will move on. But this movie looks as though it's going to be very popular, which means I probably will end up disliking it, but we'll see.

At first, I thought this was a joke thread. But wow, people are so upset over what little we know about Trek XI that they're boycotting the movie and making a big stink? For all Trek's talk about open mindedness and acceptance, I'm finding that a lot of Trek fans are exactly the opposite.

Just joking in support of your earlier point: you're giving the film a chance, even though you harbor some significant reservations on what you've seen so far. A logical and fair stand.

I was referring to others who will take the position of hating the film on the first evidence, and increase their rancor simply because they see others enjoying it. i.e. Raining on someone else's parade: "I'm not having fun, so I won't let you either."

LOL....so true...so true..

This is now the 4th poll I've seen in the past week regarding what we've seen so far. Even though the polls cover somewhat different subject matter, they all show around 60-70% in favor of everything seen so far, and 11-14% not in favor. The others are in the middle.

I'd say that the overwhelming majority is looking forward to this movie with a favorable outlook!

So don't let a few sour grapes get you down. And by "grapes" I mean #@*holes.

I kid...I kid! LOL
