Nothing personal directed at you at all, just making a general observation. I could have made that more clear, sorry for any confusion. It's all good!

On the subject of sci-fi related boycotts: Was there talk of boycotts of the Star Wars prequels when the first Episode I teaser was released? Anyone remember?

I think the protests and grumbling began after the film was released.

lol
Agreed, although I'm somewhat surprised since that teaser looked nothing like the originals.

I can only speak for myself and my friends, but we were so psyched to see any new SW that the trailer was very exciting. And as I recall, it was a good trailer, though you're absolutely right in that it looked so very different from the original trilogy.

I think the question is... can you be a REAL fan and a REAL american at the same time... could be quite a challenge.

Judging by what I've seen so far, only the marquee is surviving anyway.

Believe me the people in the boycott lines are the minority. They are the same ones that after all these years they're still upset that there is no such thing as Santa Clause.

I wonder if they will come with pickett signs? lol.

Seriously, they will come, if nothing more than to gripe about everything the whole time.
