Holy shizer, sweet mother of snap crackle pop! I grew up with Trek. Dislike watching TOS on TV, But thought The TOS Movies were the best. DS9 and Voy…loved em, some of the New Gen movies…well, they were ok. But watching the trailer to this? OMG????? Did someone from Para finally wake up from a deep coma? At first I thought I was watching an opening for a new batman movie, was about to frown for maybe a cop-out…but my word….this looks to be the best yet. If it is as the trailer is….Revive Trek on TV….starting with this crew. Paramount, I have had my words with you, ridicule, disownment….an ill sick feeling in my stomach from the Berman/ Braga fars. Right now, I am happy-in-the-pants ecstatic to come home and love again. Please, Please, Please let this be as good as I’m hoping it to be. I can get pass the Canon….(that hurt to say)

I'm so sad that the redshirt the Abrams article mentions is named Olsen, not Fanwanky.
JJ, I thought we had a deal?! ![]()

Of course wives are right. Because we let them be. j/kOr is it just that husbands are left? LOL. I shall have more thoughts about all this soon...but every time I watch the new trailer, I get more excited...and am getting some ideas about what may be happening. I will be doing a big post soon on my thoughts...but for a teaser thought: The Newest Enterprise looks like a natural design evolution from the Enterprise NX-01... So I'm probably asking the question other people are asking: um, what's with the first 43 seconds of that trailer?
I'm super excited about the rest of it, but that opener? Come on... I'm usually the one that defends movies, but there better be a good reason for that whole scene there. |

That's not what I'm talking about. Hell, I'm expecting a huge bulk of this movie to start out on Earth. Show us around Kirk's hometown and other characters' hometowns and the beginnings of Starfleet.
No, I'm talking about pubescent boy Kirk in a high speed chase scene, leaping from the car, yada yada yada, "I'm James Tiberius Kirk!!!" Seriously... ![]() |
