I didn't like the nacelles at first, but after awhile they grew on me and now I like the whole thing.

The Saucer is the only good looking part.
The rest looks strange.
They need to scrap the neck, engineering section,
pylons, and nacelles.
If they won't do that, then the saucer needs to be
redesigned to match the feel of the rest of the ship.

Like everything but the neck's placement. I still think it's too far back on the engineering hull, but what can ya do.

You can see the ship's proportions more clearly in the trailer, when Kirk's looking at the half-finished ship on Earth. It looks a whole lot better and more balanced from that perspective.

Forgive me as I am drunk from highland Ale (seriously) but this is just an another small hurdle for Trek fans to jump. At first I didn't understand why the saucer and body were so different. Then, I realized once again that I needed to let go of what I expected of this film. It is a different path that they chose. Just watch the movie. Judge then, and bring me some single malt. That would be ace....

I've voted against the nacelles and pylons. The nacelles are a bot to bulbous and a bit too "air ram scoop of a jet engine" for my taste. I think the pylons should be swept back a bit more. Other than that, I think the neck could have been moved forward a little, but other than that all good.

I just wish there was more footage of the ship in action. From the small peeks that we have seen its just hard to make a judgement.

but i still voted aginst nacelles and pylons
